Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad is an innovative way to cool down while enduring outdoor heat. Made from a new hyper-evaporative material that retains water while remaining dry to the touch. When wet, the towel becomes considerably cooler than the outside air, thereby providing cooling relief to the user. When it stops cooling (1-4 hours)simply re-wet the towel and wring it out. Within minutes it is cool again. Machine washable.

My family recently got back from a trip to Disney. The heat in Florida at the end of August can be awful. We brought 2 chilly pads and used them all day, every day. They were great for my husband and I and our kids!

My wife bought this to cool her down on hot days when she walks. It is a bit stiff to hang closely on the neck, so after wetting it down and wringing it out, she rolls it and secures the end tight with an elastic band at each end.
She states it gives a small bit of relief from the heat, but wishes it were even cooler.

I purchased one of these over the weekend at a game site. I umpire travel baseball. (USSSA) I was certainly skeptical, but found that if the directions are followed, it is a very useful tool to manage your core body temperature in the heat. The temperature was nearing 100 degrees with high humidity and little if any breeze. As umpires, particularly when behind the plate with the plate gear on, it gets incredibly hot and is very important to take steps to lower your body temperature. I used it between innings to wrap around my neck, reducing my body temperature by reducing the blood temperature through my carotid artery. We have done this for years, using iced towels. The Frogg Togg seemed to be as effective, staying cool for approximately the 2 hour time period of a seven inning game, but much neater and less obtrusive than the old iced towel method. I would recommend to anyone who is outside in the sun for prolonged periods of time. I plan to purchase several more for other members of the family.

The person who stated that you could go to Walmart and just buy a towel and it would be the same could not be more wrong. This towel is awesome. It is even cool right out of the package. How can you go wrong spending 10-20 dollars on a towel that works, and will last for years. Ive only had mine for a short time, but you can just feel the high quality material is not going to wear out.

well, the reviews by users do seem to be overly generous. i play golf in very hot weather and this thing has not cooled me. it is nothing but a chamois that you wet and the only reason it is cooler than the air is because it is wet. any old wet towell would do the same thing and feel better on your skin. i would not recommend this product. if you think you want one anyway, just go to wallmart and buy a cheap chamois.
